Client Care Technician

Animal Care Technician
Friendly, energetic personable individuals wanted to attend to the daily needs of boarding and hospitalized animals in our care. Must be physically able to lift 40 lbs. to perform your duties, which will include feeding, exercising and bathing the animals, cleaning and properly disinfecting the kennels and runs, assisting the medical staff as needed, and maintaining a clean, healthy and positive work environment throughout the clinics for staff, clients and their pets to enjoy. The ability to take direction readily and maintain a flexible work schedule is a must. Professional Groomer
Looking for experienced part or full-time groomers to provide a great salon-style experience for our client's pets. Great communication skills with the owners and gentle handling of their pets are required. Obedience Instructor
Experienced, licensed obedience instructor wanted to teach puppy classes two nights a week minimum (two classes per night). Classes are taught on-site indoors in a dedicated obedience training room at the Animal Care Center in Plainfield. Current methodology of training emphasizes socialization and gentle handling of the pups with a broad base of instruction for the owners to learn proper praise and correction techniques for behavioral and obedience issues. Having a friendly, approachable, likable personality, the ability to control a group environment and good communication skills are a must. The potential for expanding our curriculum is practically unlimited for a self-motivated obedience instructor. We would love to offer additional classes such as group adult classes, advanced adult classes, private on-site training sessions, or even daycare or extended-term boarding/training sessions. Humane Society Externship
We have a tremendous opportunity for prospective veterinary students to complete their externship requirements at the Animal Care Center in Plainfield. Our 10,000 sq. ft. full service practice houses an on-site Humane Society, with many animals continuously entering the program in need of altering and various levels of medical care, all of which will be the extern's responsibility. This provides the extern with a great deal of surgical experience, as well as valuable exposure to many levels of medical care for some of these needy animals. The extern can also plan to participate in the numerous client medical and surgical cases at our very busy practices. The externs may stay anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks, and are welcome to utilize our dorm apartment and vehicle as well. Externs are expected to put in a 5 day work-week, and will receive a stipend of $100/week to cover board. Book your externship early, as our schedule fills quickly due to high demand. Email us at:
